The Grain - The Story of Leather (part 1)

Aurora Putty

The hallmark of Kongsiri's leather lies in its natural allure. However, it's important to select the appropriate leather for various furniture manufacturing purposes. Let's explore the characteristics and types of leather together!

Full Grain Leather:

This is genuine leather that boasts a dense and intricate grain pattern, offering a natural and beautiful appearance. The distinct hair follicles can be clearly seen.

Snuffed Grain Leather:

This leather undergoes a process that lightly buffs the top surface, resulting in a texture resembling velvet, commonly known as Nubuck. The hair follicles are still visible, although the leather's surface may appear slightly faded.

Corrected Grain Leather:

This leather is buffed to reduce the visibility of hair follicles, giving it a smoother surface. It is often used for creating patterns and undergoes additional processing to conceal any imperfections, such as embossed leather patterns.
