Photography Project: Manmade

Kongsiri Tannery X Anon Schoch

“Leather takes time and effort to procure, process, and refine.

But, who are those who commit to all these vital steps and turn raw hide into it's final ultimate form?

This project started as an exploration and testimony to those whose hands shape, dye, and mold leather from scratch to finish. Over 3 separate days, I photographed those who put their hearts and souls into the tannery craft. Each person within the Kongsiri factory; from the forklift operators to the lab technicians. All are essential in the creation of each and every meter of this fine material”.
