Ecotan Leather

What is Ecotan?

In the leather production process, there is a standard for heavy metal content, typically requiring it to be below 300 pm to be considered free from heavy metals. However, Ecotan takes it a step further. When Ecotan leather is tested for heavy metal content, it must have a value of 0 pm, meaning it must be completely free from heavy metals. Kongsiri Tannery is proud to be the first certified Ecotan Leather tannery in Thailand.

With Ecotan leather, when it reaches the end of its useful life and is disposed of, it can be transformed into fertilizer for growing vegetables and plants. This is why it is crucial for the heavy metal content to be 0 pm. Kongsiri believes in striving for the highest standards and goes beyond by considering the environmental impact of discarded leather. We aim to minimize the environmental footprint in the production process while also emphasizing the sustainable use of resources.

Kongsiri Tannery has achieved success as a leading innovator in Thailand and is recognized and respected globally in the leather industry. This is all possible because of our unwavering dedication and continuous development for something better.
